One Veteran Wins a Free Franchise Every Year

America’s Swimming Pool Company is the nation’s largest swimming pool maintenance and repair company. The company’s guiding principle is that exceptional service is their number one priority, no matter the circumstance. Since 2001 the company has grown to 180 franchise locations in 20 states.

America’s Swimming Pool Company (ASP) offers expanded services through its relationship with leading pool equipment manufacturers, offering franchisees quality product selection and value. Franchise owners are trained at the ASP Pool School and are provided technological packages, marketing strategies, and technical support. ASP is on Entrepreneur Magazine’s Most Affordable Franchise list and among the top 100 franchises for veterans as determined by Franchise Business Review.

Beginning Veteran’s Day 2015, ASP rolled out a special program in appreciation and admiration for our nation’s veterans and the sacrifices they have made for our country. One veteran is selected every year and is awarded a waiver of the full franchise fee. The application process is simple, starting with a short form on the ASP website. Applications are accepted through each calendar year.

The 2015 winner was U.S. Navy veteran Miguel Macias who is expected to open his ASP franchise in Reno, Nevada in April. Stewart Vernon, Founder & Chief Executive Officer of ASP said, “Though the program just launched in 2015, we are excited to have our first winner, and welcome Macias to the franchising family. We are thankful for the service he has given to our country and know that the skills he learned in the course of that service will prove beneficial in his new endeavor as an ASP owner.” Macias says he is “thrilled, excited, and grateful to the team for selecting me. I am very humbled and very blessed to have this gift, and excited to get going!”

Veterans and franchises are a good match. Military experience translates to leadership, responsibility, and resourcefulness, all essential traits for franchise or small business owners.
